English record producer Roy Thomas Baker has died at 78 years old.

Baker‘s credits are numerous and include a solid chunk of Queen‘s discography, a good chunk of The Cars‘ discography, Alice Cooper‘s Flush the Fashion from 1980, Mötley Crüe‘s Too Fast for Love from 1982, Ozzy Osbourne‘s No Rest for the Wicked from 1988, The DarknessOne Way Ticket to Hell… and Back from 2005 and a whole lot more. Baker‘s final album was Yes‘ 2014 record Heaven & Hell.

Oh, and yes – Baker was the producer behind Queen‘s world-changing his “Bohemian Rhapsody”. In a 1999 interview with Mix Magazine, Baker had a sense of humor about the song, saying: “‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was totally insane, but we enjoyed every minute of it. It was basically a joke, but a successful joke.”

Baker died at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on April 12. A press release from his publicist announcing his death was issued today, April 22.
