Nostalgia Takes Over the Dancefloor in Andrew Dum's "Changes" With Eran Hersh and Alina Eremia

What started as personal tribute eventually morphed into an epic collaboration for Andrew Dum, whose new single with Eran Hersh and Alina Eremia, “Changes,” is out now.

Dum says he was deeply inspired by Chris Lake’s timeless track “Changes,” which the house music superstar released over two decades ago alongside Laura V. His approach reimagines the track with the sort of textured, hypnotic Afro-house grooves that could enliven any moonlit dancefloor.

Dum, whose work has been supported by RÜFÜS DU SOL, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Pete Tong and more, characterized the rework as a milestone in his career.

“This remix of ‘Changes’ means a lot to me,” he said. “From the first moment I started working on it, I felt something. It brought back a wave of emotion I didn’t expect, like reconnecting with a part of myself. Working with Eran Hersh was a natural flow, and when Alina recorded the vocals, the whole track lit up. It became more than just a remix. It became a feeling.”

Hersh, a chart-topping producer of melodic house and Afrobeats, said he was blow away when he first heard Dum’s demo. That rings especially true with Eremia’s spellbinding vocals, which transform the record into something genuinely compelling.

“The first time I heard the ‘Changes’ demo from Andrew, I got goosebumps,” he added. “I knew I had to be a part of it. And then Alina came in with those vocals… wow. It became something even bigger than we imagined.”
