This 1965 Ford Falcon Ranchero Deluxe was ordered in Vintage Burgundy and Wimbledon White with a black bench seat, a 289ci V8, and a four-speed manual. It was first purchased in July 1965 from Stewart’s Ford Mercury Sales in San Andreas, California and owned by the same family in Sutter Creek until May 2023, when a friend of the seller purchased it. Acquired by the seller the next month, it retains yellow-on-blue plates and now shows 79k miles. The engine was rebuilt following the seller’s acquisition in 2023 and Isky lifters and CompCam roller rockers were added in 2025, and it has been further modified with 14″ alloys, an aluminum radiator, and a trio of Stewart Warner gauges. This Ranchero is now offered with the owner’s manual, records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck was ordered in Vintage Burgundy and Wimbledon White, and the seller notes that it was repainted with metal flake added at some point. There are dents in the bed.
Alloy 14″ wheels and Bridgestone tires have been installed, though the seller notes they have older date codes. A stock spare is stored in the cab. The pickup is equipped with front coil and rear leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by front and rear drums.
The bench seat is upholstered in black pleated vinyl, and the car retains an AM radio. The carpeting has been replaced, as has the boot for the floor-mounted four-speed manual shifter. A trio of Stewart Warner gauges are mounted under the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 79k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer cable and cluster bulb were replaced in 2024.
The seller reports that the 289ci V8 was rebuilt by local mechanic Dave Belrose in 2023, and Isky lifters and CompCam roller rockers were added in January 2025. A Champion aluminum radiator has been installed, the carburetor was overhauled in 2021, and the fuel pump and filter were replaced.
The seller also replaced the clutch components and flywheel along with the muffler.
